I always made an adventure out of hanging with my girls and going shopping. There is something very exciting about getting dressed to go shopping with your best friends. In fact, I can firmly state it is therapeutic. There isn’t a word to describe how it feels to try on a new dress or a pair of shoes and twirl in the mirror with your friends starring in awe.
Online shopping is just as exhilarating but on a different level. For one, I like gifts, so ordering stuff for myself makes me feel like it is my birthday because I love receiving packages and I love sales. Online shopping is a personal experience. You don’t need to find an outfit to wear out, you save money on transportation and the stores are 24/7 — it’s like shopping heaven. Initially, I did my online shopping around the holidays (to avoid the rush and get deals) but now I find myself buying everything online: food, furniture, makeup, shoes (especially shoes) or whatever my heart desires at the moment. I can shop at 3am or 3pm from my favorite stores and they (retailers) always seduce me with the sales that nobody in their right mind could resist.
So are you an online shopper or do you prefer to go into stores? This is a tough question for me that typically depends on the occasion.
